Maryland Public School strives to make the child a citizen of the world holding on to high values with a sense of deep spirituality and empathy, coupled with respect for each individual and responsibility to the other the nation with a passion for the Safety and protection of Mother earth.
The school is affiliated to CBSE - Delhi; Affl.No.931284. Classes will be from Std I to X.
Play-way method will be the means adopted to make children enjoy the learning process. Nature walk, field visits, tree climbing, class room activities, free play, etc are part of their school experience.
Overloading children with matter is against the spirit of CBSE and MLPS. Learning by doing, and experiential learning through exposure is the pedagogical method at MLPS.
To build a person of positive thinking, positive speaking and positive living will be a high priority of MARYLAND PUBLIC SCHOOL. A child with posi- tive attitude and positive communication, is an asset to any group and society.
Taking cue form the words of Jesus Christ - “Love others, as you love yourself” the child is trained to love himself and herself, to make it overflow into each and everyone whom he/she meets. Thus making him/her a person loving and lovable, and useful to the society.
“Manners make the Man” is ingrained deep into every student of MARYLAND. Social behaviour, social etiquette, social interaction with grace and dignity, will be taught with practical sessions to groom the child to be a citizen of international standards.
Creativity, Innovation, and Involvement is our moto. Our expresident, Shri. Ramnad Kovind in his address to the nation on 26th January 2018 said “ Our schooling system has to encourage our children to think and to tinker, not just to memorize and reproduce”. He also said “Children must learn to innovate”.
Bill Gates, Steve Wozniak and many other thinkers and creative giants, spoke on the need to develop creative and lateral thinking in our education system. Our former President Late Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam on numerous occasions spoke on the need to encourage and develop creativity and innovation in our children at the school level.
Our education system must improve with less cognitive load and more time for value development, creative thinking, soft skills like personality development, social skills and others. More importantly identifying multiple intelligence in children should get priority at the school level, especially when the children are in the lower classes. The role of play for the overall development of a child is a priority in itself and is dear to the students of our school.
Maryland Public School will certainly and continuously try for achieving all these and thus become a school of International Standards.
There are no Dyslexic Children. It is only ‘differential’ children. It is not all who are excellent at art, or music or sports. So also, it is not all, who will excel at academics. BUT ALL ARE GOOD AT SOMETHING. We identify that and highlight it. And that makes all the difference.
Our philosophy of holding everyone together and handling each one differently makes the child special and valued at MARYLAND.
The ability of a doctor is in diagnosing the ailment accurately and giving the required medicine. So also, the best of teachers identifies the strength and weakness in each child and addresses it. That makes our team of staff, extra sensitive and supportive to the weak on academics, and strong on his/her strength - thus making him/her a genius in his area of talent and gift.
Maryland team will deal with its dyslexic children with a passion and specialized attention to make them find their right path and progress well. The aim is to make their scars into stars!
Our aim at MLPS is the overall development of the child and since an assessment of some form is necessary, the CCE scheme (Continuous and Com- prehensive Evaluation) is followed in order to determine the effectiveness of teaching-learning and its assimilation by learners.
